Carol Jean East age 79 of Normal IL and formerly of Streator passed away at 6:08 PM on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at  Heritage Health, Normal IL. Visitation will be 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Friday, December 15, 2017 at Beck Memorial Home 209 E. Grove St., Bloomington, IL. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Rev. Mr. Gayle Cyrulik, Jr. will be officiating. Private inurnment will be at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Streator, Illinois at a later date. The family suggests memorials be made to OSF Hospice Program or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Carol was born August 23, 1938 in Streator, IL the daughter of Lawrence and Priscilla Heinbucher East.

Surviving is her brother, Robert L. (Alberta ) East, Streator, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sharon Voigts.

Carol graduated from Woodland High School, Streator, IL. She had worked for Verizon Telephone Company, Bloomington, IL for many years until she retired. Carol had resided at Evergreen Place Assisted Living, Normal, IL for the past year.
